New ‘Grab & Go’ Food Program Starts Today For SWFL Students
The Food and Nutrition Sevices Department kicked off a new “Grab & Go” foo program for students across Southwest Florida on Monday, March 23.
The program offers students breakfast and lunch between 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at selected schools and community sites during this unanticipated time of closure. Both breakfast and lunch will be served together in one bag.
The meals are free for anyone 18 years of age and under. Each child must be present at the pick-up location to receive a “Grab & Go” bag. The meals should be eaten at home and not at the site.
Food and Nutrition Services will be using the bus ramp of each of the schools to create an orderly process to drive or walk up, collect the meals and then safely return home.
