Page Field Airport Scare as Fort Myers Man Arrested for Bomb Threat
Some things you just don’t say. Like shouting “Fire!” in a packed theater or saying “I’m blowing up the bathroom!” while on a plane. It’s the wrong choice of words, plain and simple. Take this Fort Myers man, for instance, who supposedly made a bomb threat at Page Field airport.
According to NBC2, this guy, Greg Poole, allegedly drove up to the airport base in a white Dodge pickup truck. He was upset and wanted to complain, but then he reportedly made an explosive threat, then booked it out of there. Not the smartest move, dude. I understand being annoyed, but there are better ways to let off steam than threatening explosions.
So, Greg goes up to the clerks and starts complaining about airplane noise and chemicals being sprayed near his home. Claims he tracked a plane back to the airport himself. No clue how he did that, but picturing someone chasing a plane in a pickup is kind of weird. Then, things really got nuts when he allegedly starts talking about an FBI building that got blown up and warns the clerks they’re next if the plane keeps buzzing his house.
Fort Myers Man Creates Page Field Airport Scare:
And that’s when this Fort Myers man really messed up. You can’t go saying stuff like that, especially at an airport. Cops nabbed him later and found a shotgun, rifle, and handgun in his truck, plus ammo. No bomb, thank goodness, but still not a good scene for Greg.
Now he’s facing charges. But, seriously, when are we going to learn to keep our cool? Saying the wrong thing at the wrong time, especially in places like airports, can get you in deep trouble! Next time you’re upset, you may just want to try something else. Like maybe stomp your feet or scream and cry. You may look a little silly or crazy even. But you most likely won’t end up in jail because of it.
