Local Law Firm Offering $50,000 in Scholarships to Florida Students
Some good news came out this week for those students that might be on the hunt for scholarship dollars. $50,ooo in scholarships to Florida students is up for grabs.
Local Florida law firm, Farah & Farah, has announced that they are offering $50,ooo in scholarships to Florida students. It’s their fourth annual Empowering Greatness Scholarship program. The program provides nearly $50,000 in scholarships to five Florida high school seniors, covering two full years of tuition at any Florida university, college, or trade school, according to the press release.
“It’s our privilege to champion different causes that make our communities stronger,” said Eddie Farah, Founding Partner of Farah & Farah. “The Empowering Greatness Scholarship Program creates strength within our future leaders, equipping them with the most important tool of all: education.”
Empowering Greatness Scholarship
The scholarship dollars will cover tuition, registration fees and local fees for 60-lower credit hours and can be used for students across the Sunshine State at a university, college or trade school in Florida. Partnering with the firm on this program are the Florida Prepaid College Foundation and Goodwill Industries of North Florida. Applications are being accepted now through February 20, 2024. One FGCU student, Madisyn Blanton, was selected as a winner last year.
Scholarships to Florida Students Eligibility Requirements
- student must attend a public or charter school in Florida
- exhibit outstanding academic performance
- active in the community
- submit essay or video
Since the programs inception in 2020, over $200,000 has been awarded to 30 students all across the state.
