California Man Arrested For Jumping On Florida Sheriff’s Patrol Car
We post a lot of Florida Man stories. But what happens when a California Man comes to Florida and acts up? He shares a cell with Florida Man.
22-year-old Beau Justin Burgess of Santa Monica, California was partying in Key West on Saturday night during Fantasy Fest. The night was still young, but that’s when he decided to take it to the next level by jumping onto the hood of a Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle.
This is where things take a turn for our California Man. According to MCSO, “two Sheriff’s Office members were on patrol at the corner of Fleming and Duval streets at approximately 9:40 p.m. when they observed Burgess jumping on the hood of the vehicle.”
Beau took off and tried to evade the cops but was apprehended a short time later. The California Man was taken off to jail. Beau Justin Burgess was charged with criminal mischief, resisting arrest, and disturbing the peace. The hood of the car sustained minor damage.
Not sure what really possessed this guy to think he could jump on a cop car with no consequences. When there’s a patrol car parked, there’s usually officers very near by. Fantasy Fest has a huge police presence. Plus, dude has a very “punchable face”.
It looks like the old Florida adage holds true for this California Man.
Come on vacation, leave on probation.
