Noelia Voigt, The New Miss USA, Is From Southwest Florida
Noelia Voigt, Miss Utah, was crowned the new Miss USA at an event held in Reno, Nevada over the weekend. But even though she was running as Miss Utah, she has deep Southwest Florida roots. Noelia was born in Sarasota, Florida and graduated from Pine View High School in Osprey. The Nokomis area, just up from North Port.
According to her Wikipedia page, “She was born in Sarasota, Florida to a Venezuelan mother, Jackeline Coromoto Briceño from Maracaibo, and an American father, Jack David Voigt, a professional baseball player who played for Aguilas del Zulia. Voigt is the first Venezuelan-American to earn the title Miss Utah USA and eventually Miss USA.”
Yoursun reports her early start in pageants came from right here in Southwest Florida as “Her first pageant win was in 2017 when she was named Miss Sarasota Teen USA.”
She attended college at the University of Alabama and was first runner up at Miss Alabama USA. She moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in April of this year.
“The past seven years of my pageant journey have all led me to this moment,” Noelia wrote on Instagram just before the the pageant.
The 23 year old Noelia Voigt will now begin her year long reign as Miss USA. She will be representing the United States at the Miss Universe 2023 pageant. That pageant will be held in El Salvador on November 18th.
