City Of Naples Shuts Down Public Beaches Amid COVID-19 Pandemic
The City of Naples announced Wednesday afternoon that it will be closing down all public beaches until the end of March to prevent the spread of COVID-19, according to NBC2.
All public beaches within city limits will be shut down until March 30. The Naples Pier will close at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 18. All other beach accesses, beach restroom facilities, parking areas and walkways will close at 5 p.m.
The closure could be extended in the near future as the city works to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus, NBC2 said.
For more information Naples residents can call the COVID-19 hotline at 239-213-4902 on Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
