Fall officially arrives this weekend, in spite of what the thermometer might say. Meteorologist says it is looking mostly good for peace and wine this weekend in Southwest Florida. Here are your Weekend Vibes for September 22nd-24th. The “peace” piece of the puzzle is the 16th Annual SWFL Peace Festival with a new location in downtown Fort Myers.
About the wine this weekend and more
In Naples there is a wine tasting event to benefit animals and Snip Collier. It is also the last full week for Sizzle Dining Restaurant Week. More info on both below. In addition, it is the last weekend for you to take advantage of free tolls to cross the Sanibel Causeway. The Collaboratory has been picking up the tab on Sundays to encourage locals to get out and support businesses that have finally reopened after Hurricane Ian. This weekend they are waving the $6 toll for Saturday too to help increase participation in the annual Island Hopper Singer Songwriter Festival.
Some of the first Halloween related events open this weekend. It’s all about the kids with the annual Friendly Forrest at Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium. Scroll down for more information.
