Clearwater Courthouse Hosting Halloween Themed Wedding Scare-amonies In October
With Friday the 13th being today, the 2nd Friday in September, it’s officially the start of spooky season and this year the Clearwater courthouse is hosting Halloween themed wedding scare-amonies in the month of October.
Halloween season is one that can’t come soon enough for some people. My friend Hayley starts decorating for Halloween as soon as 4th of July is over to soak it up for as long as she can. She’s ready for haunted houses, hayrides and trick-or-treating. I wouldn’t be surprised if she already picked out her costume. While I do appreciate the holiday, I like my holidays one at a time, I don’t need to rush them. I just had my first pumpkin spice last week. But if you have upcoming wedding plans and enjoy all things spooky, there’s a great opportunity to combine the two this October in Clearwater.

This has been extremely popular in the past and they’re bringing it back. The Pinellas County Clerk’s Office, for the 3rd year in a row, is bringing back wedding scare-amonies for couples ready to make things official just in time for Halloween. Not only will they take place throughout the month of October, but in a special Halloween themed Wedding Ceremony Room inside the Clearwater Courthouse.
While the scare-amonies will take place from October 1st-31st and walk-in’s are welcome, if you’re planning on going on October 31st, Halloween, space will be limited, so it would be smart to make a reservation. You can bring up to 10 guests along for the celebration and dressing up for the occasion for in costume is encouraged. Maybe you want to go dead bride and groom or maybe get married as your favorite movie characters. The options are endless. There will be photos available for purchase as well as commemorative Halloween-themed wedding certificates.
