Florida Woman Pulls Gun After Dog Adoption In Tampa Goes Sideways
Adopting a furry friend to bring into your home is supposed to be a good experience for the adopter and the adoptee, but in this case one Florida woman pulled a gun after a dog adoption in Tampa went sideways.
Nothing breaks my heart more than seeing dogs in shelters when they should be spoiled in their forever homes. I’ve always been a huge advocate for animal rescue, having many rescued family dogs growing up and one of my own now. My little guy Rocket was picked up as a baby on the streets of Houston back in 2018 after Hurricane Harvey, and made his way to me when I was living in North Dakota and we’ve been in love ever since. Adopting him was the best thing I ever did. And while I’m happy this lady was trying to adopt a dog, it didn’t end well.
Florida Woman Pulls Gun After Dog Adoption In Tampa Goes Sideways
This crazy situation went down over the weekend in Tampa when one woman went to adopt a dog named Bluey, a pug with special needs. Poor Bluey was hit by a car and while he’s a happy, healthy pup, he does need a wheelchair to get around. Dominique Amerosa runs a rescue called Rags to Riches and has been looking for the perfect person to adopt Bluey. And she thought she may have found it with a woman who came to her house for a meet and greet.
According to Fox13, after Dominique found out that woman had other dogs and it wouldn’t be a good fit, the woman responded by pulling a gun. And didn’t just pull it out, but put it up against Dominique’s head. Not sure if she thought then that Dominique would change her mind, but she didn’t. After screaming in fear, a neighbor came out and called 911. Police were able to track down the gun totin’ woman, and thankfully no one was hurt.
An investigation is underway.
