Miami Dolphins Show Spark in Win Over Rams
Miami Dolphins Show Spark: The Miami Dolphins seemed done and dusted heading into Monday night's game in Los Angeles against the Rams. They entered the game with a 2-6 record. This game was a cross road because a win would allow them to keep their playoff hopes alive. A loss would have Miami looking at an early draft pick in the 2025 NFL draft. Plus the extremely talented Rams are getting healthy. However the Dolphins surprised many with a 23-15 win on the road. The Dolphins had been riddled with key injuries, including starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa who missed several games with a concussion. Ironically, that concussion, his fourth or fifth of his pro career depending on who you ask, came on the heals of him signing his new contract extension which was north of $200 million dollars. Love him or hate him, the Dolphins are married to Tua for the long haul. MIAMI DOLPHINS SHOW SPARK Miami Dolphins Show Spark: For those who wanted the Dolphins to throw in the towel and unrealistically bail on Tua as the franchise quarterback, let us remind everybody that Tua and the Dolphins owned the NFL's top passing offense last year. Things are not as broken as they appear. That's why Monday night's road win in LA was so important. Looking ahead the Dolphins have a couple of winnable games at home against the Raiders and Patriots. And there are two more dates with the Jets and a game against the Browns. Win all of those games and that puts the Dolphins at 8 wins. Can they find a couple more and squeeze into the playoffs? That remains to be seen. But Monday night's win was a step in the right direction. For more Dolphins and NFL talk and analysis tune in to Craig Shemon and Company from 2-6pm on ESPN Southwest Florida!
