Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls Opens Three Southwest Florida Restaurants

Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls will debut three fast-casual seafood restaurants across Southwest Florida. The first has a soft opening on Dec. 1 at 6900 Daniels Pkwy. in Fort Myers, followed by a grand opening two days later.

A second restaurant will open at 8017 Plaza del Lago Drive in Estero. The third location is slated for Midtown Bonita at 13000 Bonita Beach Rd SE in Bonita Springs in 2026. State approvals are done for the Estero site, and an inspection is set for Dec. 2.

The menu features lobster rolls made with Maine-caught lobster, plus crab and shrimp rolls and salads. The chain serves both the warm Connecticut-style roll and the chilled classic version, giving guests multiple ways to savor their meal. Standout dishes include lobster, crab and shrimp mac and cheese, as well as lobster and crab grilled cheese.

"You can walk in off the beach and get a really good lobster roll quickly," Lisa Stroud said, per Business Debut. "The menu is very simplistic, which makes it easier."

Streamlining the offerings helps keep service times short. Families will discover choices for those who prefer non-seafood items, including a Nathan's beef hot dog, mac and cheese, and grilled cheese.

Lisa Stroud operates the Southwest Florida franchise with her husband, Kevin Stroud, and their son, KJ Stroud. The family also runs two locations and a food trailer in the Richmond, Virginia, area.

The Estero team hopes to open in time to serve guests during Coconut Point's annual Tropical Holiday event on Dec. 6, though that timing hinges on final inspections and approvals. 

Hours of operation for the Southwest Florida sites are to be announced.
