5 Fabulous And Fun Halloween Themed Wines
Thanks to 19 Crimes, Chronic Cellars, and Gerard Bertrand for providing me free bottles of wine to sample for honest and unbiased reviews for Halloween themed wines.
We are in the final days of Halloween celebrations and there are still lots of local festivities to attend. This time of year is just as fun for adults as it is for kids. If you are hosting revelers or going to a party, here are 5 fabulous and fun Halloween themed wines to compliment the festivities and for Wine Wednesday.
Chronic Cellars is one of my go-to brands when it comes to Halloween wine. I’ve been writing about this Paso Robles winery for years, for all kinds of reasons.
When it comes to Halloween, just look at the labels featuring skeletons doing all manner of things. This season I tried the new releases of their signature cabernet sauvignon and red blend. Both value wines at $16.99.
Next, is Chronic Cellars Purple Paradise. It’s a blend of mostly Zinfandel with some Petite Sirah, Syrah, and Grenache.
Halloween Themed Wines With 19 Crimes
Once again this year, 19 Crimes partnered with Universal Products & Experiences for a limited-edition collection of Halloween wines, featuring the classic Universal Monsters. Frankenstein Cabernet Sauvignon is back for a second year but this time he is not alone.
The Bride of Frankenstein Red Blend is new to the lineup. These wine labels glow-in-the-dark so they look great next to your glowing pumpkins. That’s not all.
The labels also feature augmented reality. When you scan the QR codes the iconic monsters come to life. The wine is fun and the new vintages are tasty too. $18
Halloween Themed Wines For Good Trouble
Trouble Cloudy Wine is new from one of my favorite French winemakers, Gerard Bertrand. He makes three of these unfiltered, unfined wines. They are organic, vegan and suppose to be cloudy. The small particles that remain in the wine after fermentation are said to help preserve the delicate aromatics and fruit flavors.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I unscrewed the top of the rosé and served it with a charcuterie and cheese board. Everyone who tried it went back for more. Including me. These French wines are fun to discover, whether you are causing trouble this Halloween or managing to avoid it. $25.99
Enjoy these Halloween themed wines. Drink responsibly.
