2 Florida Eateries Make Southern Living’s List Of Best Roadside Restaurants In America
When it comes to dining options around the Sunshine State, there are so many options, if you’re looking for a quaint spot serving up some great food, 2 Florida eateries have made Southern Living‘s list of the best roadside restaurants in America.
While I don’t road trip as much as I used to when I was growing up, I do love a roadside diner. I have very fond memories of taking long trips in our RV when I was a kid and stopping at little mom and pop stops we’d find along the way. The servers were always so sweet and to get some comfort food served up hot always made for a nice stop during our travels. And I always loved seeing all the locals gathered at the coffee bar or at tables near each other catching up on the latest town gossip.
2 Florida Eateries Make Southern Living’s List Of Best Roadside Restaurants In America
Southern Living just put out their list of the best roadside restaurants in America and 2 in Florida made the list. Editors found these places by reporting on, researching, and traveling the South. Sounds like a fun gig to me!
The first in Florida on the list is Sebastian’s Roadside Restaurant located on historic U.S. 1 in Sebastian. On their website, the eatery is described as having “fresh home-cooked meals in a uniquely retro dining room with fast and friendly service. We’re not fancy, so hop in your car and come as you are!”
The other in Florida is Mrs. Mac’s Kitchen in Key Largo. They’ve been open since 1976 offering everything from coconut shrimp to key lime pie.
I haven’t been to either, but now I’ll be sure to add them to my list if I find myself in either town.
