Florida Man Parked Car In Turn Lane And Passed Out After 25 Beers
41 year old Fermin Tlapechco of Apopka, Florida was arrested last week after consuming 25 beers, then trying – unsuccessfully – to drive. Reports say officers from the Lady Lake Police Department found him passed out in his vehicle in the turn lane on U.S. Highway 27 at Longview Avenue in Lady Lake, Florida, with even more beer in his car. I guess Fermin wasn’t ready for the party to end.
Fermin’s vehicle was spotted Tuesday night around 10pm parked in the turn lane on 27 with Fermin sleeping inside. The officer woke him up, but then had to call in backup because of a language barrier. The first clue that he had been drinking was that Fermin was driving mostly barefoot, mostly because he was wearing a sock. Just one. The next hint was the 4 bottles of Corona on the passenger seat ‘on deck’. When asked about the beer, Fermin claimed that he had drank 25 beers since 5 o’clock. Knocking back 25 beers on a Tuesday is quite an accomplishment, but not really one you should brag to the cops about.
25 Beers In 5 Hours
The Apopka, Florida man failed field sobriety exercises, but then refused a breathalyzer. I’m thinking that after you already admitted to drinking 25 beers in a 5 hour period, refusing a breathalyzer isn’t going to make much of a difference. Fermin was arrested for DUI and booked at the Lake County Jail. He was originally supposed to appear in front of the judge today (Monday), but that date looks to have either been pushed back, or cancelled.
First, let me say, don’t be drinking and driving. But then let me also say that a 41 year old able to drink 25 beers in one night is no small feat. I think maybe in college I could have pulled that off, but now? No chance. According to his arrest report, Check out this stat: Fermin is 5 foot 4 and 160 pounds. And he drank 18.75 pounds of beer in one night. #math
Also, once you hit 30 those 2 day hangovers start if you get out of hand. Not to be messed with… Fermin’s birthday is coming up on the 22nd of this month, he’ll be 42. Maybe he should stick to something a little more low-key this time.
NFL Beer Prices For The 2024-25 Season
Which NFL Stadium has the cheapest beer? It’s time to analyze the NFL beer prices for the upcoming season, along with some commentary and a little bit of “who do they think they are?” Along with win/loss records, the price differences also don’t appear to be regional. We have 3 NFL teams here in Florida and one is near the pricing bottom and the other at the top.
A special note to our friends at Washington Commanders called out for expensive beer at FedEx Field

In terms of overall expenses, with one of the highest general ticket prices in the league, Cardrates states “the San Francisco 49ers offer the most expensive gameday experience. A ticket, two beers, a hot dog, and parking costs fans $239.66 at Levi’s Stadium.”
The Philadelphia Eagles offer the next most expensive gameday experience at $225.01. Eagles’ general tickets cost around $139, but the beer, hot dog, and parking price at Lincoln Financial Field land them in the second spot for the most expensive game day experience. More on the Eagles in a bit.
NFL Beer Prices
If you want to do some year over year comparison on NFL beer prices, here’s last year’s data. It showed that the Rams and Chargers (who shared a stadium) were tops on the list with the most expensive beer in the NFL. Checking the numbers, it looks like they found a way to bring prices down (a little) while some others came up.
It’s not gonna happen, but I’d love to see pricing based on a floating scale, based on team performance. So, judging this after watching the Patriots preseason game on Peacock last Sunday night, beers at the New England games should be a dollar. You guys got so used to winning every year and now this? Just brutal. So let’s get on with it, starting with the cheapest NFL beer prices which always begins in Atlanta…
Please hmu if any of these prices change, the preseason just ended the real season hasn’t started yet.
