Museum of Ice Cream Returns to Miami With A New Permanent Location at Miami Worldcenter

Get ready for all you can eat ice cream, carnival games, and a ‘sprinkle pool’ modeled after the iconic Versace Mansion. The Museum Of Ice Cream opens at Miami, Florida Worldcenter on September 6th.

Highlights of the Museum of Ice Cream in Miami include a retro ‘Cream Liner’, a 60’s inspired luxury airplane that transports you from downtown Miami to a world of endless possibility where anything is pop-sicle. Guests explore ‘A Grand Hall of Freezers’, filled with mysterious doors, where you discover surprises, wonders and of course, treats. Top off your adventure by sliding down a double helix slide into the world famous sprinkle pool, designed as a tribute to the iconic Versace Mansion.

Museum of Ice Cream Opens in Miami On September 6th

In celebration of opening, Museum of Ice Cream Miami will feature new flavors from beloved local creamery Azucar Ice Cream. Museum of Ice Cream Miami is also thrilled to serve Cosmic Bliss for the first time featuring their new and creamy coconut based soft serve.

Unlimited Ice Cream

The Museum of Ice Cream in Miami is the only immersive experience where everyone plays like a kid and eats unlimited ice cream together. The Miami location spans 14,000 square feet over two floors and is the next generation of interactive museums and a tribute to the city’s vibrant international spirit, culture, hospitality and love of ice cream. 

Before you go, you’ll need to go to the Museum Of Ice Cream website and make a reservation. A few of the times are sold out, but there’s still plenty of open spots left to snag you $38 ticket. And if you’re wondering, yes, they also have ice cream-themed cocktails for the adults. Sounds amazing.

Today (September 22) is National Ice Cream Cone Day, not to be confused with National Ice Cream Day in July. The cone makes a big difference. Any ice cream lover will agree. And now that there is an excuse to celebrate, we thought you should see this latest list featuring Naples, Fort Myers and Punta Gorda. These Southwest Florida ice cream shops named best in state. Tomorrow (September 23) is the first official day of fall so why not have one last hurrah for a dessert typically associated with summer. Especially when considering it feels like summer almost year round in Southwest Florida. However, as any dessert lover knows, it does not have to be summer to enjoy this sweet treat. Ice cream is fun and it makes the world better. Even when you are sad.

Ice cream has been around for a long time but there is some debate on the cone. The eatable receptor for ice cream is said to have made its big debut at the World’s Fair in St. Louis back in 1904. Eight years later an entrepreneur and inventor obtained a patent for the cone. He eventually sold that patent to Nabisco. Since that time, all kinds of different cones have been created for us to enjoy.

  • Harbor Scoops and Bites, Punta Gorda

    Harbor Scoops boasts ice cream with a view.  The shop faces Charlotte Harbor and the Peace River. All ice cream is made in house and flavors change seasonally. I mean look at the fall special in the bellow Instagram post. And that cone! Yum

  • Royal Scoop, Naples

    Royal Scoop has been delighting palates in Southwest Florida since 1979. Over the years, they’ve won numerous awards and expanded to five locations, including one on Fort Myers Beach that is temporarily closed. They also have mobile ice cream truck.

  • Love Boat Ice Cream, Fort Myers

    Love Boat Ice Cream is an iconic stop in Fort  Myers. The original location on San Carlos Blvd, on the way to Fort Myers Beach, expanded a few years ago to a new site just blocks from the original. It has also opened two additional spots (Sanibel temporarily closed) with more to come. Including Cape Coral.
