Christmas Has Arrived At Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
It’s the most wonderful time of the year and Christmas has officially arrived at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.
I was surprised right after Halloween that retail stores wasted no time getting Christmas decor set up. I haven’t decked the halls quite yet, I usually wait until the day after Thanksgiving. But if you’re ready to start getting into the Christmas spirit, Busch Gardens Christmas Town is back in Tampa Bay. The holiday celebration runs through January 7th. Not only will you get to enjoy all the animals and coasters that Busch Gardens has to offer, but the park transforms into a beautiful winter wonderland.
What can I expect at Christmas Town?
It wouldn’t be a Christmas celebration without the big man himself, so make sure to visit Santa’s North Pole Experience to visit Santa and his elves. Enjoy Storytime with Mrs. Claus and meet and greet the most famous reindeer of all at Rudolph’s Winter Wonderland. There are some great shows to check out too! The ice skaters in “Christmas on Ice” will wow you with their talent. “Elmo’s Christmas Wish” is a fun sing-along featuring all your favorites including Elmo, Cookie Monster, Rosita, Grover, and Zoe. And speaking of sing-along’s, the Holly Jolly Express will not only take you on a train ride, but you’re encouraged to sing-along to your favorite holiday tunes. And to close the night, it’s “Holiday in the Sky, a Nighttime Spectacular”, a festive fireworks display.
In addition, light displays will be set up throughout the park, including a light-up walkthrough dragon. In the Bird Gardens area, take a stroll through a light tunnel with thousands of lights synchronized to Christmas music. And keep an eye out for wandering characters throughout the park. Make sure you come hungry, because there’s a great holiday menu with dishes like Chicken coq-au-vin, Holiday Poutine, Red curry shrimp, Festive Cheese & Berries and more. Signature Christmas cocktails include Mistletoe Margarita, South for the Winter, Jack Frost, Ginger Snap Mule and Candy Cane Lane.
