Naples, Odessa and Fort Lauderdale Hooters Girls Will Compete For Title Of Miss Hooters International

Well, this is fun!  Grace Burchett of the Naples Hooters location has been invited to compete in the Hooters International Pageant!  She will be the one and only Hooters girl from Southwest Florida competing in Vegas for the title of 2023 “Miss Hooters International".  Along with the title comes a cash prize of $30,ooo!

Grace is currently living in Ft.  Myers, however she was born and raised in West Virginia.  She began her career with Hooters working at their King of Prussia location, just outside of Philadelphia, in 2019.  She made her move to Southwest Florida in May of 2021, working at the Ft. Myers Beach location and now in Naples.

This is not the first time she's been recognized by Hooters.  Grace has been in the since 2021 and was featured as Miss March in this year's 2023 calendar.  You'll see her again next year too.  She recently spent time in the Bahamas for the 2024 calendar shoot.  She's a local celebrity now!

Grace is a graduate of West Virginia University, where she earned a degree in business.  She's also an avid participant in Hooter's community outreach, with local fundraisers for Valerie's House in Ft. Myers and Prostate Cancer Research in support of Moffitt Cancer Center.  Grace will be participating in online fundraising efforts for Self Help International and will travel to Iowa for Give a Hoot Self Help International this summer.

Leading up to the Miss Hooters International pageant, I am most excited to learn more about this company and to meet other girls who share my passion and love for Hooters,” said Grace Burchett who works at Hooters of Naples.

The 2023 Miss Hooters International Pageant will be held in Las Vegas in early August.   Two other Florida Hooters girls will join her, Kiana Mahabir, from the Odessa Hooters and Gracie Williams, an employee who works at both the Weston and Fort Lauderdale Beach Place locations.

Paraiso Miami Swim Week happened over the weekend at Collins Park on South Beach in Miami, Florida. The event was a 4 day experience with nearly 50 events highlighting the latest in swimming fashions. And if you've ever been to South Beach, you know this is the place for it. Swim Week is billed as " the world’s largest marketing event for the Swimwear and Resort Wear industry."

The highlight, for me at least, of the event was the Teletubbies-inspired collection. It's a collaborative between WildBrain, who own the right to the Teletubbies, and New York-based designer, The Blonds. According to the company's press release "The collection—which includes swimwear, a tote bag, beach towel and beach wrap—is available in four vibrant colours inspired by the iconic Teletubbies palette, capturing the silhouetted figures in purple for Tinky Winky, yellow for Laa-Laa, green for Dipsy and red for Po. "

Phillipe Blond and David Blond said: “The Teletubbies are fun and colorful and full of magic! We’re thrilled to be able to partner with them for our debut Paraiso Miami Swim Week runway show!”

So as you make your plans for summer vacations, keep in mind that Teletubbies are the hot new trend in swimwear fashion on South Beach. It seems like an unusual pairing, Teletubbies and bikini models, but I do like what they've done. Things are never boring on South Beach.
