It is way too early in the season to be dealing with hurricanes. But we don't get the choice. Tropical Storm Bret has now formed and it's possible that it could target Florida. According to NOAA "Bret is forecast to strengthen and move across the Lesser Antilles as a hurricane on Thursday and Friday. "
That means heads up to the folks in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. To find a bit of good news, if it does strike that area, it's likely to be a low end hurricane. Category 1 ish, Perhaps just a tropical storm. And with it's fast movement, the time needed to strengthen won't be there.
The track from there is uncertain. So we're not sure what's next. Keep in mind, there's another developing storm behind this one. It's June! Even with it's low intensity, a heavy rain maker would be a problem. Large parts of Cape Coral were flooded yesterday with Father's Day rains.
