Florida Cities Make List Of Best For Thanksgiving

It’s hard to believe we’re just over 2 weeks away from Thanksgiving and three Florida cities made a list of the best to celebrate in.

When you think of the best places to celebrate Thanksgiving what comes to mind? Maybe being able to wear fall clothing? Places where there’s outdoor fall events going on? Cities known for good food?

WalletHub came up with a list of the best places to go and looked five key factors. They considered Thanksgiving Celebrations and Traditions, Affordability, Safety & Accessibility, Giving Thanks and Thanksgiving Weather Forecast.

The price of just about everything has gone up and maybe you’re worried about how that will affect your plans for the holidays. But there are ways to celebrate while also making your Thanksgiving more affordable.

How Can I Celebrate Thanksgiving On a Budget?

McKnight University Professor Kathleen D. Vohs recommends that if you’re hosting to not be afraid to ask your guests to bring something. Whether it be a side dish, dessert, or wine it can help lower your cost. Speaking of wine, she says to keep in mind that the first bottle is the one people taste the most, so after the first bottle is cracked, you can serve cheaper wines. University of South Carolina Professor Fang Meng says when traveling to try to avoid the peak travel dates, especially for air travel. If you’re driving, use apps like GasBuddy and GetUpside to find gas stations with the best prices on gas.
